How to Buy Monero Privately

How you acquire Monero matters. Buying from a KYC exchange creates a paper trail — here are better options.

Peer-to-Peer exchanges
Platforms like LocalMonero allow buying XMR directly from individuals without KYC. Pay with cash, gift cards or bank transfer. No identity verification required. Always use escrow and check seller reputation before transacting.
Convert from Bitcoin
Buy Bitcoin anonymously (ATM with cash, P2P) then swap to Monero using a non-custodial atomic swap service. The swap converts BTC to XMR without KYC. The resulting Monero has no connection to the original Bitcoin purchase.

Important: Never send XMR directly from a KYC exchange to a Mars Market order address. The exchange has your identity and the transaction is traceable. Always withdraw to your own wallet first, wait for confirmations, then send from your wallet to the order address.
